The rule of thumb is not to judge someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes. It's a good rule, to be sure. I don't think anybody would deny that. So after reading this 670 page book about many jobs in multiple fields explaining their every day lives, as well as their thoughts and feelings, judgement day has arrived at last! Just kidding. Even after acquiring a wealth of knowledge from this book, I won't pass judgement. In all seriousness, I was chomping at the bit to read this book, and I am so glad I had the opportunity to do so! I included the table of contents so you can see what to expect. This book is unmatched. It's done in the form of an interview. You don't see the questions asked, only word for word what the worker says about their job, crazy stories, and their down and dirty honest feelings. Personally, a few of my favorites were the most oddball ones such as: Transvestite Prostitute, Slaughterhouse Human Resources Director, Poultry Worker, Mother, Doula, and a few others. To be honest, they were all amazing, but those ones I'm particular piqued my interest! Each job is only a few pages long. Some are only one page. But none are boring. This book is so human, raw, eye opening and humbling in the best of ways. I'm so honored to be able to share this review will all of you.

10/10
