Darwin Devolves

Sometimes only a Jackie Chan meme can fully express how I'm feeling. You all I've been toiling through this book for the last few weeks and I have to admit something...I'm no biologist. Are you shocked? Did your jaw hit the floor? Well, pick it up because it's TRUE. Yes, ladies and gentleman, this book gave me quite a few headaches. The new science about DNA challenged more than just evolution! I may as well have taken a PHD level class involving genealogy, chemical properties, DNA, RNA, evolutionary theories and properties, molecular biology, and so much more! This book is not for your every day reader. It is meant for biologists, doctors, grad students, biochemists, and so on. I assumed this book was going to make a case for creationism, and it does in a few sentences, but it's not the overall purpose of the book. The overall argument is yes life started with intelligent design but evolution is due to survival, for example, not God. It makes a strong case against neo-darwinism for leaving far too much out. Now, all of this being said, it is an extraordinarily well researched book! Unfortunately, a lot of it may as well been in Latin. I can repeat the talking points and sound intelligent but I can't honestly say I understand it the way a biologist would, obviously. I've included a few inserts as well as charts for you to see. I have to give this book a 4/10⭐🤦🏻♀️ I know it seems harsh, but this is not reader-friendly. It honestly reads more like a biology textbook in my opinion.
