Doctor Sleep

This book was returned to me today after I had loaned it out forever ago. I'll be honest, I looked at it with disgust and was tempted to tell the borrower "just keep it..." Doctor Sleep is the sequel to Stephen Kings, "The Shining" - which I loved! This trash on the other hand...was a total and complete let down and waste of my time! I hated this book. Full transparency, it SUCKED. First of all, there was no need for a sequel at all! The Shining ended on a perfectly fine note. This, in my opinion, was just Stephen King trying to cash in a second time on his original book. Oh, a doctor who gives his dying patients peace as they pass? What a totally UNoriginal idea! And there's a 'shining' girl far away trying to communicate with him and they have to defeat a dark force together? Which takes a good like hour to do? What a GR(stupid)EAT storyline! Freaking A. I guess it can just rot on my shelf forever? Maybe I'll donate it and someone else with high hopes can be disappointed. Skip this book.
