I'm not sure where to start with this book review so let me just go for it. I was/am a huge Korn fan. I saw them in concert, I owned almost all of their CD's. When my piracy days were just beginning as a teenager, Korn was always one of the first bands I'd download. I randomly came across a YouTube video of Brian Welch being interviewed regarding leaving Korn and giving his life to God instead. I had forgotten about it for years until just recently when I came across the video again. I bought his book, "Save Me From Myself." It only took me a few days to read despite the length. For 80% of the book I was disgusted. I was pissed. I was shocked at the things Brian "Head" Welch had done in his life. I honestly had no idea he was a meth addict, a coke head, an alcoholic, a wife beater, an absentee father, and a flat out piece of shit. Zero clue despite being such a huge fan. A man who had no ties to faith was called to God. Brian who had never been able to escape drugs and abuse in spite of 20 years of trying, was able to finally do so through Christ. By the end of this roller coaster I found myself slightly jealous of his close relationship with God, his missionary work, and the freedom and peace he now has with his daughter and life thanks to our amazingly forgiving and loving God.

8/10
