6 years ago, my husband and I were living the good life. We had more money than we knew what to do with. We bought anything we wanted when we wanted it, and with a new baby, life was great. 5 years ago, we were flat broke. He had lost his job during a massive layoff. We both scrambled to get jobs immediately, both of which were dead end, low paying jobs. Suddenly, we couldn't afford our big house, our bills, or even food. We didn't get approved for any kind of assistance, since we were both working full time (imagine that.) I was making the cheapest meals possible just to make ends meet, and they weren't meeting. We ended up making an emergency move to a teeny tiny house and sold more than half of our belongings. 3 years ago, he finally landed a good job again, and I returned to being a SAHM. I had to sit down on my 25th bday and go through all of our debt. I could've vomited. We had managed to get ourselves in $40,000 in debt. I budgeted. I searched endlessly online for tips, DIY's, hacks, coupons, you name it. I prayed. I prayed again. And I prayed some more. I had no idea how we would get out of this...I didn't want this for my son or the baby we wanted to try for. 2 years ago, I found Dave Ramsey. I literally cried. I knew I had found something different. I found his YouTube channel and binged on every video. For over a month I watched him, I listed to the desperate calls. I related to these people. I bought his book that you see here and read it in one day cover to cover. That is how desperate I was. Everything I had learned about money was wrong. But this, this was a solution. Two years later and we have decreased the debt to $13,000. That's $27,000 in 2 years. This year we will be debt free. Our family tree is forever changed. My faith has never been stronger, and I am an avid believer in this plan. I can't tell you how much this book means to my family. I can only tell you everyone should read it. I don't care if you're not in debt. I don't care if you're 1 million in debt. Read. This. Book. Immediately. It has forever changed my life and how I look at money. If you buy this book from the Dave Ramsey website, be advised they do not take credit cards, bank cards only, yes, they practice what they preach.

10/10
